Wow. Now thats what I call downtime! Turns out the old domain wasn't on auto re-new, which I thought it was. It expired at 12am on the 1st of June. For some reason it expired 20 days earlier than it should have. GoDaddy gave me some kind of explanation, but I wouldn't be able to guess how credible what they said was.

Anyway, now we are back up and running and better than ever before! We have or are getting newsletter for the most popular blogs, and we'll be back in the swing of things quicksmart.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your concern!! This domain is set to expire in 2009, AND its on auto renew. Now i have to get all the links on all the sites changed....

Important Update : There was a massive spike in traffic yesterday due to Firefly’s recent post getting to #3 on Reddit. The server valiantly endured the storm, but eventually succumbed after 3,600 hits.

We’ve made some improvements and updates to the server, which will give us further capacity next time we’re "Redditted". Further improvements and server upgrades are also planned over the coming weeks to deal with YourJapan’s increasing popularity and traffic.

Now everyone has 50 megabytes to store photos and objects - this has been increased from 5 megabytes. So sign up and share your Japan Photos.
